Erwin Zimmerli studied economics and law at the University of St. Gallen. He received his doctorate in 1978 with a dissertation on "White-collar crime with small stock corporations".
After his time as an assistant at the Chair of Private Law at the University of St. Gallen, Erwin Zimmerli worked in a law firm and at the District Court of Zurich. From 1980 to the end of 1986, he was head of special department 1 for economic and property offenses at the Zurich cantonal police. He then worked as a director at the Neutra Trust Group until 1990. This was followed by a "trouble shooter" mandate at the top management level at the Jet Aviation Group.
Erwin Zimmerli is a lecturer at the Competence Center for Forensic and Economic Criminology at the Lucerne School of Business.
Erwin Zimmerli has been a consultant for commercial criminal law in our law firm since 1992.
